Natural Wholefood Supplement

We use 100% real foods as ingredients and they are all listed clearly under the ingredient section. No alien words or chemical terms, just names of real foods grown in nature, not labs. These foods, worthy to be labelled as wholefoods, are foods close to their natural form, either unprocessed or have been processed as little as possible.

Our Spirulina has only one ingredient — spirulina (Arthrospira platensis).

Cold-Tableting Technology

Unlike many tableted supplements in the market — which are heavily dependent on heat, binders and fillers to give you a compact, perfectly sized tablet — our Spirulina tablets are tableted using solely high-pressure compression at low temperature. Such tableting method ensures that each tablet remains raw, potent and free of unnatural components such as binders, fillers, sweeteners, colourings, flavourings and preservatives. All with its heat-sensitive nutrients well protected, of course.

Fun fact: Valuable nutrients such as iron and antioxidants degrade and perish when exposed to heat.

Good Source of Protein with 18 Amino Acids

Protein is the most important nutrient we need in our lives. A complete protein is comprised of 20 building blocks called amino acids — 9 of which cannot be produced by our body. These essential amino acids must be obtained through foods, such as chia seeds and — you guessed it — our Spirulina.

Complete protein is the building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood. Our hair and nails are mostly made of protein. Without protein, our body cannot create enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals.

Boasting about 60% to 70% protein content, Spirulina actually gives you more protein than raw meat per weight.

Good Source of Omega-3

With grains as staple, plus lots of other processed foods in our diet today, we are unknowingly putting too much Omega-6 fatty acids into our body. Imbalanced ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 in body is something we should be alarmed of, as it is a major cause of many deadly diseases.

We cannot stress enough on how important Omega-3 fatty acids is. Proven to lower risks of cardiovascular disease, Omega-3 also helps prevent Alzheimer's, diabetes, cancer, autoimmune diseases and other diseases linked with inflammation.

Rich in Antioxidants

Antioxidants, found densely in Spirulina, are important diseases-fighting compounds with the ability to stabilise free radicals by donating extra electrons.

Every minute of the day, our body — through normal cell functions, exercise or even exposure to carcinogens in environment — is creating unstable molecules called free radicals. Left unchecked, free radicals will steal electrons from other stable molecules freely, leading to a cell-damaging phenomenon known as oxidative stress. Oxidative stress is associated with premature ageing, cataracts, as well as deadly diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Good Source of Vitamin B1, B2, B3 and B9

Out of the eight B vitamins — collectively known as Vitamin B complex — Spirulina gives you four B vitamins. Commonly known as thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and folate, these vitamins are one of the most overlooked nutrients. Like Vitamin C, Vitamin B complex are water-soluble vitamins which will not be stored in the body. They must be consumed each day through our food to prevent deficiency.

All B vitamins assist in converting the food we eat into energy. Thiamine helps our body produce new cells and strengthens our immune system. Riboflavin is important for growth, development and function of the cells in our body. Niacin keeps our skin, hair, and nervous system healthy. Folate aids in digestion of protein, formation of red blood cells, and prevention of neural tube birth defects.

Good Source of Iron

Iron is responsible for creation of red blood cells and transport of oxygen from our lungs to all cells in our body, including the muscle cells. Inadequate iron in our body causes weakness, fatigue, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, cold hands and feet, muscle cramps and chest pain. Severe anaemia has been associated with impaired muscle function, brain fogging and even heart failure.

Fun fact: Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutrient deficiency in the world.

Good Source of Calcium, Copper, Magnesium and Potassium

Our nutritionists always say that our body needs a variety of nutrients to work optimally, as each nutrient has its roles to play, and some are dependent on other nutrients. For that reason, we often recommend Spirulina as the one supplement you should take.

Spirulina earned the title of 'natural nutrient bomb' due to its incredibly rich mineral profile — besides iron and folate — such as calcium, copper, magnesium and potassium. Calcium plays an important role in building strong bones. Copper is essential for maintaining healthy bones and blood vessels. as well as in boosting absorption of iron. Magnesium is required for energy production and bone development. Potassium, on the other hand, is important for maintaining healthy muscle function and prevention of muscle cramps.

Good For Prenatal Development

Good for increasing fertility rate, prenatal development, as well as postnatal care. Provides nutrients such as folate, calcium and iron — all of which are essential for a smooth and healthy pregnancy.

Folate is crucial for forming healthy cells and reducing the risk of neural tube defects such as spina bifida (where spine and spinal cord are not formed properly) and anencephaly (a lethal condition where baby is born without a major portion of the brain and skull). Also supports healthy brain development through childhood and adolescence.

Needless to say, calcium helps build strong bones and reduces risk of osteoporosis (brittle bones). Iron, on the other hand, is responsible for creation of red blood cells and transport of oxygen to all cells in our body, as well as to foetus.
